Resumo: | The aim of this work was to use an experimental design associated with the Response Surface Methodology (MSR) technique to evaluate the effect of the variation in the concentration of reagents used in the preparation of the electrolytic bath used to obtain the Ni-W alloy by electrodeposition. The methodology used in this study was quali-quantitative. The effect of the variation of the reagent’s concentration on the chemical composition of the deposited alloy, on the cathodic efficiency of the deposition process, and on the morphology of the coatings was evaluated. The corrosion resistance of the Ni-W alloy in a medium containing chloride ions (NaCl solution) was investigated using the Potentiodynamic Polarization (PP) technique. Results of composition showed that nickel was deposited preferentially in all experimental conditions evaluated. The coatings showed a nodular morphology dependent on the concentration of nickel in the deposits. The coating obtained using the highest concentrations of the metal sources (levels +1 and +1) showed the highest efficiency of the deposition process (65.30%). The Ni-W alloy showed greater protection against corrosion in a medium containing chloride ions, compared to the Fe-W alloy. |

La metodología utilizada en este estudio fue cuali-cuantitativa. Se evaluó el efecto de la variación de la concentracíon de los reactivos sobre la composición química de la aleación depositada, sobre la eficiencia catódica del proceso de deposición y la morfología de los recubrimientos. La resistencia a la corrosión de la aleación de Ni-W en un medio que contiene iones cloruro (solución de NaCl) se investigó utilizando la técnica de polarización potenciodinámica (PP). Los resultados de la composición mostraron que el níquel se depositó preferentemente en todas las condiciones experimentales evaluadas. Los recubrimientos mostraron una morfología nodular dependiente de la concentración de níquel en los depósitos. El recubrimiento obtenido utilizando las concentraciones más altas de las fuentes de metal (niveles +1 y +1) mostró la mayor eficiencia del proceso de deposición (65.30%). La aleación de Ni-W mostró una mayor protección contra la corrosión en un medio que contiene iones cloruro, en comparación con la aleación de Fe-W.O objetivo deste trabalho foi utilizar um planejamento experimental associado à técnica de Metodologia de Superfície de Resposta (MSR) para avaliar o efeito da variação na concentração dos reagentes utilizados na preparação do banho eletrolítico utilizado para obtenção da liga de Ni-W por eletrodeposição. A metodologia empregada neste estudo foi quali-quantitativa. O efeito da variação na concentração dos reagentes sobre a composição química da liga depositada, sobre a eficiência catódica do processo de deposição e sobre a morfologia dos revestimentos foi avaliado. A resistência à corrosão da liga Ni-W em meio contendo íons cloreto (solução de NaCl) foi investigada utilizando a técnica de Polarização Potenciodinâmica (PP). Os resultados de composição mostraram que o níquel foi depositado preferencialmente em todas as condições experimentais avaliadas. Os revestimentos apresentaram uma morfologia nodular dependente da concentração de níquel nos depósitos. O revestimento obtido utilizando as maiores concentrações das fontes dos metais (níveis +1 e +1) apresentou a maior eficiência do processo de deposição (65,30 %).
