Indigenous resistance in western Paraná: the search for the recognition of the Tekora Guasu Guavirá indigenous territory in municipalities of Guaíra end Terra Roxa

Resumo: The existence of Avá-Guarani community in western Paraná is the product at long process of resistance to the colonization of the Brazilian border and to public urbanization policies. However, the recent process of indigenous reoccupation generated reactions from producers linked to agribusiness, causing the establishment of social conflict that produced violence, hostility and disrespect for the Guaranis. Through bibliographic and documentary research and using the dialectical method, the present study aimed to analyze the historicity of the struggle and resistance process of that community, as well as the bases of the conflict. In addition, we sought to include aspects related to the judicialization of the conflict and the legal discussions about theory of indigenato and theory of time frame.

Sin embargo, el reciente proceso de reocupación por parte de los indígenas generó reacciones de los productores vinculados al agronegocio, provocando el establecimiento de un conflicto social que produjo violencia, hostilidad e irrespeto hacia los guaraníes. A través de una investigación bibliográfica y documental y utilizando el método dialéctico, el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la historicidad del proceso de lucha y resistencia de esa comunidad, así como las bases del conflicto. Además, buscamos incluir aspectos relacionados con la judicialización del conflicto y las discusiones jurídicas sobre indigenato y plazo, que son temas que pueden impactar directamente en el reclamo de la comunidad.A existência da comunidade Avá-Guarani no oeste paranaense é produto de um longo processo histórico de resistência à colonização da fronteira brasileira e às políticas públicas de urbanização. No entanto, o recente processo de reocupação pelos indígenas gerou reações de produtores ligados ao agronegócio, ocasionando a instauração do conflito social que produziu violência, hostilização e desrespeito aos Guaranis. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental e utilizando-se do método dialético, o presente estudo teve por objetivo analisar a historicidade do processo de luta e resistência da referida comunidade, bem como as bases do conflito.
