Resumo: The aim of this study was to describe the relationship between the family and the social networks of care for children with special health care needs. This is a qualitative research conducted with ten families of these children. Data collection was conducted between January and February 2012, we used the triangulation technique for data collection: desk research, semi-structured interview, building genogram and eco-map. For data analysis we used the thematic content analysis. The results show that social networks are limited and specific. The difficulties in access to health services and education. We conclude that the difficulties experienced by the families of these are related to the completeness and accessibility to services and health actions. It is recommended actions centered on the child and his family, the promotion and coordination of social networks, for the reorganization of family dynamics.

Se trata de una investigación cualitativa realizada con diez familias de estos niños. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo entre enero y febrero de 2012, se utilizó la técnica de triangulación para la recolección de datos: investigación documental, entrevista semiestructurada, genograma y la construcción de eco-mapa. Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó el análisis de contenido temático. Los resultados muestran que las redes sociales son limitados y específicos. Las dificultades en el acceso a servicios de salud y educación. Llegamos a la conclusión de que las dificultades experimentadas por las familias de estos están relacionados con la integridad y accesibilidad a los servicios y acciones de salud. Se trata de acciones recomendadas centradas en el niño y su familia, la promoción y la coordinación de las redes sociales, para la reorganización de la dinámica familiar.O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever as relações entre a família e as redes sociais de cuidado às crianças com necessidades especiais de saúde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizadas com dezessete familiares destas crianças. A coleta de dados foi realizada entre janeiro e fevereiro de 2012, utilizou-se a triangulação para a técnica de coleta de dados: pesquisa documental, entrevista semiestruturada, construção de genograma e ecomapa. Para a análise dos dados utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo temática. Os resultados apontam que as redes sociais são limitadas e específicas. Há dificuldades no acesso aos serviços de saúde e educacionais. Conclui-se que as dificuldades vivenciadas pelas famílias destas crianças estão relacionadas à integralidade e acessibilidade aos serviços e ações de saúde.
