The role of the nurse in assisting the family member and the child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): A literature review

Resumo: | The present study is of great importance, as it deals with a relevant topic in the lives of many families, portraying a particularity whose, specifically the impact of ASD on the lives of children and family members, through research, was possible to point out strategies that can help in the progressive evolution of the child with ASD, as well as, through the implementation of nursing care. Objective: To understand the importance of investigating and treating factors that involve the quality of life of family members and children with ASD. Materials and methods: This is a literature review. Eight scientific articles were analyzed, being published between the years 2018 to 2022. Having as database: collection+, uniCEUB, online ID. Journal of psychology, Revista Saúde e Desenvolvimento, unifametro, core of knowledge, through terms of the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS): Child, Nursing care, Nurse, Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Results: The study provided the identification of positive and negative actions through monitoring the family member and the child. Final considerations: The study made it possible to understand that the nurse and the family can be the main protagonists of the quality of life of children with ASD. |

Objetivo: Comprender la importancia de investigar y tratar los factores que involucran la calidad de vida de los familiares y niños con TEA. Materiales y métodos: Esta es una revisión de la literatura. Se analizaron ocho artículos científicos, siendo publicados entre los años 2018 a 2022. Teniendo como base de datos: collection+, uniCEUB, online ID. Revista de psicología, Revista Saúde e Desenvolvimento, unifametro, núcleo de conocimiento, a través de los términos de los Descriptores en Ciencias de la Salud (DeCS): Niño, Cuidado de Enfermería, Enfermero, Trastorno del Espectro Autista. Resultados: El estudio permitió la identificación de acciones positivas y negativas a través del seguimiento del familiar y del niño. Consideraciones finales: El estudio permitió comprender que el enfermero y la familia pueden ser los principales protagonistas de la calidad de vida de los niños con TEA.O presente trabalho é de grande importância, pois o mesmo trata de um tema relevante na vida de muitas famílias, retratando acerca de uma particularidade cuja, de forma específica do impacto do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) na vida das crianças e membros familiares, por meio da pesquisa, foi possível apontar estratégias que possam auxiliar na evolução progressiva da criança com TEA, bem como, através da implementação dos cuidados de enfermagem. Objetivo: Compreender a importância de investigar e tratar fatores que envolvem a qualidade de vida do membro familiar e criança com TEA. Materiais e métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura. Foram analisados 8 artigos científicos, sendo publicados entre os anos de 2018 a 2022. Tendo como base de dados: acervo+, uniCEUB, ID on line. Revista de psicologia, Revista Saúde e Desenvolvimento, unifametro, núcleo do conhecimento, por meio de termos dos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS): Criança, Cuidados de enfermagem, Enfermeiro, Transtorno do espectro autista. Resultados: O estudo proporcionou identificar ações positivas e negativas através do acompanhamento ao membro familiar e a criança.
