Resumo: Drinking water for human consumption has become a scarce and valuable asset, requiring an assessment of its quality for different uses. The objective, therefore, was to verify the quality of groundwater in the municipality of Juazeiro do Norte, from tubular wells operated by CAGECE, in the Rio Salgado basin, under physical-chemical aspects, referring to space / time variation. The parameters were studied in the dry season, referring to 33 CAGECE heritage wells, totaling 124 samples, divided into 4 periods. For the spatial factor, there are significant variations in the levels of 5%, probability in the parameters pH, alkalinity, calcium, chloride, iron, total dissolved solids (STD) and electrical conductivity (EC). “Levels of 1% and 0.1%” were detected in all wells with Nitrate, using the Tukey test. The groundwater mostly presented characteristics of mixed bicarbonate. The water in the municipality was considered potable, but some areas according to the research show signs of contamination in relation to the nitrate and iron parameter, verified in wells traced in this study.

El objetivo, por lo tanto, era verificar la calidad del agua subterránea en el municipio de Juazeiro do Norte, de pozos tubulares operados por CAGECE, en la cuenca del Río Salgado, bajo aspectos físico-químicos, en referencia a la variación espacio / tiempo. Los parámetros se estudiaron en la estación seca, en referencia a 33 pozos patrimoniales de CAGECE, totalizando 124 muestras, divididas en 4 períodos. Para el factor espacial, hay variaciones significativas en los niveles de 5%, probabilidad en los parámetros pH, alcalinidad, calcio, cloruro, hierro, sólidos disueltos totales (ETS) y conductividad eléctrica (CE). Se detectaron "niveles de 1% y 0.1%" en todos los pozos con nitrato, utilizando la prueba de Tukey. El agua subterránea presentó principalmente características de bicarbonato mixto. El agua en el municipio se consideraba potable, pero algunas áreas según la investigación muestran signos de contaminación en relación con el parámetro de nitrato y hierro, verificado en pozos trazados en este estudio.A água potável para consumo humano tornou-se um bem escasso e valioso, sendo necessária uma avaliação de sua qualidade para os diversos usos. Objetivou-se, portanto, verificar a qualidade da água subterrânea de do Munícipio de Juazeiro do Norte, oriundas de poços tubulares operados pela CAGECE, na bacia do Rio Salgado, sob aspectos físico-químico, referentes a variação espaço/temporal. Os parâmetros foram estudados no período de estiagem, referentes a 33 poços de patrimônio da CAGECE, totalizando 124 amostras, divididas nos 4 períodos. Para o fator espacial, destaca-se variações significativas nos níveis de 5%, de probabilidade nos parâmetros pH, alcalinidade, cálcio, cloreto, ferro, sólidos totais dissolvidos (STD) e condutividade elétrica (CE). “Níveis de 1% e 0,1%” foram detectados em todos os poços com o Nitrato, através do teste de Tukey. As águas subterrâneas apresentaram em sua maioria características de mista bicarbonatada.
