The role of Nurses in anemia associated with chronic kidney disease: an integrative review

Resumo: This study objective is to identify in the literature the role of nurses in caring for patientes with anemia associated with Chronic Kidney Disease. It is an integrative review of the literature carried out in the databases of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online and Excerpta Medica database. Articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish were included, in any period of time and that presented nursing care and the role nurses in anemia associated with Chronic Kidney Disease. The results emphasize the role of the nurse in the development and leadership of care models and guidelines / protocols, revealing the importance of this professional in the planning and execution of nursing care. It is concluded that the Nursing Care Systematization and the Nursing Process linked to the use standardized languages, provide a structure for the organization of information and management of nursing care directed to patients with anemia associated with Chronic Kidney Disease.

Es una revisión integradora de la literatura realizada en las bases de datos de Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud, Sistema de Análisis y Recuperación de Literatura Médica en línea y base de datos Excerpta Medica. Se incluyeron artículos en portugués, inglés y español, en cualquier período de tiempo y que presentaban los cuidados de enfermería y el papel de las enfermeras en la anemia asociada con la enfermedad renal crónica. Los resultados enfatizan el papel de la enfermera en el desarrollo y liderazgo de los modelos de atención y directrices / protocolos, revelando la importancia de este profesional en la planificación y ejecución de la atención de enfermería. Se concluye que la Sistematización del Cuidado de Enfermería y el Proceso de Enfermería vinculados al uso de lenguajes estandarizados, proporcionan una estructura para la organización de la información y el manejo del cuidado de enfermería dirigido a pacientes con anemia asociada a la Enfermedad Renal Crónica.Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar na literatura qual o papel do enfermeiro nos cuidados com o paciente com anemia associada à Doença Renal Crônica. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online e Excerpta Medica database. Incluíram-se artigos em português, inglês e espanhol, em qualquer período de tempo e que apresentassem os cuidados de enfermagem e o papel do enfermeiro na anemia associada à Doença Renal Crônica. Os resultados enfatizam o papel do enfermeiro na elaboração e liderança de modelos de cuidados e diretrizes/protocolos, revelando a importância deste profissional no planejamento e execução da assistência de enfermagem.
