Resumo: This article is an excerpt from a doctoral research and aims to understand the daily lives of fathers and mothers of transsexual people assisted at the transvestite and transsexual outpatient clinic in Paraíba. The investigation is of a qualitative nature in which the action research method was used, the empirical material was produced through the implementation and realization of 11 Systemic Integrative Community Therapy circles in the Ambulatory for Transvestites and Transsexuals of Paraíba, using the technique of content analysis. Based on the analyzes carried out, society and its models of being in the world have been causing various sufferings in the fathers and mothers of transsexual people, among them, various concerns, fears, pain, violence and suffering, being present daily in the lives of fathers and mothers of transsexual people, confirming how society is unprepared to respect people and their gender diversities, not only directly affecting transsexual people, but also their families.

La investigación es de carácter cualitativo en la cual se utilizó el método de investigación acción, el material empírico se produjo a través de la implementación y realización de 11 círculos de Terapia Comunitaria Integrativa Sistémica en el Ambulatorio de Travestis y Transexuales de Paraíba, utilizando la técnica de análisis de contenido. A partir de los análisis realizados, la sociedad y sus modelos de estar en el mundo han venido provocando diversos sufrimientos en los padres y madres de personas transexuales, entre ellos, diversas inquietudes, miedos, dolores, violencias y sufrimientos, estando presentes cotidianamente en las vidas. de padres y madres de personas transexuales, confirmando cómo la sociedad no está preparada para respetar a las personas y su diversidad de género, no solo afectando directamente a las personas transexuales, sino también a sus familias.O presente artigo é um recorte de uma pesquisa de doutorado e tem como objetivo compreender o cotidiano de pais e mães de pessoas transexuais atendidos/as no ambulatório de travestis e transexuais da paraíba. A investigação é de caráter qualitativo em que se utilizou o método da pesquisa-ação, o material empírico foi produzido através da implantação e da realização de 11 rodas de terapia comunitária integrativa sistêmica no ambulatório para travestis e transexuais da paraíba, sendo utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo.
