In times of Coronavirus: reflections about the pandemic and the possibilities from approaching the Sciences Teaching through the STS Education

Resumo:  Considering the pandemic context and its social implications, this work presents a theoretical-practical essay that objectifies discussing about the possibility of approaching the Coronavirus pandemic in the Sciences Teaching, starting off on the assumptions of the Science-Technology-Society Education. We elaborated this proposition at the emergencial context  from the Coronavirus, type Sars-Cov-2, pandemic that triggers the Covid-19 and is causing countless changes in every sector from the society, but its lethality that stands out, reaping thousands of lives around the globe and at Brazil. The political, economical and environmental dimensions approach at the development of certain subjects can contribute to a coherent teaching with a critical education concept. Therefore, four axis that converges in this theme approach were elaborated. Axis I concentrates possible information approach from the media about the pandemic, with Fake News been highlighted. Axis II embraces possibilities of health matters approach, and the possible relation with conceptual contents, thought for the interdisciplinary work.  Axis III comprises possible approaches referring to Science and Technology and its Social implications. Axis IV ends with an approach to issues related to the unveiled socioenvironmental crisis, that worsen inequalities. It’s concluded that the present proposition is a possibility of initiating educational practices compromised with a contextualized teaching, interdisciplinary and that a thematic approach favors the emerging social issues discussion, concerned with an effectively critical way of teaching.

Elaboramos esta propuesta en el surgimiento del contexto pandémico de Coronavirus del tipo Sars-CoV-2 que desencadena Covid-19 y ha estado causando innumerables cambios en todos los sectores de la sociedad, pero eso destaca por la letalidad que costó miles de vidas en todo el mundo y en Brasil. El enfoque de las dimensiones políticas, económicas y ambientales en el desarrollo de ciertas materias puede contribuir a una enseñanza coherente con una concepción crítica de la educación. Con este fin, se elaboraron cuatro ejes que convergen en el enfoque de este tema. El eje I se centra en posibles enfoques de la información de los medios sobre la pandemia, con énfasis en Fake News. El Eje II cubre las posibilidades de enfoques sobre temas de salud y las posibles relaciones con contenidos conceptuales, diseñados para el trabajo interdisciplinario. El eje III abarca posibles enfoques relacionados con la ciencia y la tecnología y sus implicaciones para la sociedad. El Eje IV finaliza con la resolución de problemas relacionados con la crisis socioambiental revelada y que exacerba las desigualdades. Concluimos que la propuesta presentada es una posibilidad para desencadenar prácticas educativas comprometidas con la enseñanza contextualizada e interdisciplinaria y que los enfoques temáticos favorecen la discusión de los problemas que surgen de la sociedad, relacionados con la enseñanza efectivamente crítica. Considerando o contexto de pandemia e as implicações para a sociedade, este trabalho apresenta um ensaio teórico-prático que objetiva discutir sobre a possibilidade de abordagem da pandemia de Coronavírus no Ensino de Ciências, partindo de pressupostos da Educação Ciência-Tecnologia-Sociedade. Elaboramos essa proposta na emergência do contexto de pandemia do Coronavírus do tipo Sars-CoV-2 que desencadeia a Covid-19 e vem provocando inúmeras mudanças em todos os setores da sociedade, mas que se destaca pela letalidade que ceifou milhares de vida pelo mundo e no Brasil. A abordagem das dimensões políticas, econômicas e ambientais no desenvolvimento de determinados assuntos podem contribuir para um ensino coerente com uma concepção crítica de educação. Para tanto, foram elaborados quatro eixos que convergem na abordagem dessa temática. O Eixo I concentra possíveis abordagens de informações da mídia sobre a pandemia com destaque para as Fake News. O Eixo II abarca possibilidades de abordagens sobre questões da saúde e possíveis relações com conteúdos conceituais, pensado para o trabalho interdisciplinar. O Eixo III engloba possíveis abordagens referentes à Ciência e Tecnologia e suas implicações para a Sociedade. O Eixo IV finaliza com a abordagem de questões relativas à crise socioambiental desvelada e que agrava as desigualdades.
