Resumo: | Childbirth is a physiological fact, since it constitutes the natural way of reproduction of the human species. The same marks the end of a pregnancy and a new remarkable experience for the woman. This study has the following objectives: To analyze the role of the obstetrician nurse in normal childbirth as well as the obstacles to its practice and to discuss the importance of the routine use of the partogram in the care of labor. This is a bibliographic review. It was observed that for an effective performance of the obstetric nurse it is necessary that these professionals are competent to do so, that is, they have knowledge, skills and attitudes, assume their attributions with autonomy, through a less interventionist assistance, including the use of the partogram. |

El mismo marca el final de un embarazo y una nueva experiencia notable para la mujer. Este estudio tiene los siguientes objetivos: Analizar el papel de la enfermera obstetra en el parto normal, así como los obstáculos para su práctica y discutir la importancia del uso rutinario del partograma en la atención del trabajo de parto. Esta es una revisión bibliográfica. Se observó que para una actuación eficaz del enfermero obstétrico es necesario que estos profesionales sean competentes para hacerlo, o sea, posean conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes, asuman sus atribuciones con autonomía, a través de una asistencia menos intervencionista, incluyendo el uso del partograma.O parto é um fato fisiológico, visto que constitui a forma natural de reprodução da espécie humana. O mesmo marca o fim de uma gestação e uma nova experiência marcante para a mulher. Este estudo apresenta os seguintes objetivos: Analisar a atuação da enfermeira obstetra ao parto normal bem como os empecilhos para a sua prática e discutir a importância do uso rotineiro do partograma na assistência ao trabalho de parto. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica.
