Learning assessment practices in remote education: an analysis of Chemistry teachers in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza – CE

Resumo: Brazilian school education intends the full development of students. In following up on this training process, multiple tools for diagnosis, investigation and reflection are used. And, thus, the basic situation of educational assessment in teaching and learning processes was established. In this conviction, this study aimed to know and describe the learning assessment methodologies used during the COVID-19 pandemic period by teachers of the Chemistry discipline in public schools in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza (RMF), in the State of Ceará. For this, qualitative research of exploratory, descriptive and explanatory nature was developed. Data collection was carried out through a semi-structured questionnaire, elaborated according to the professor's characterization and his evaluative practice during the remote teaching period. Information was obtained from 17 Chemistry teachers working in High School. The results achieved show that the system of evaluation of learning through exams/tests in face-to-face teaching was maintained in the remote teaching model, the teachers had a comprehensive approach to the panorama faced by the students, as well as the teachers exposed that they had not faced major obstacles in the adequacy of its evaluation practice to the use of digital resources. In short, it was observed that, in the view of teachers, many students obtained approval without completely mastering the contents proposed for the subject of Chemistry in High School.

En el seguimiento de este proceso de formación se utilizan múltiples herramientas de diagnóstico, investigación y reflexión. Y, así, se estableció la situación básica de la evaluación educativa en los procesos de enseñanza y de aprendizaje. En esta convicción, este estudio tuvo como objetivo conocer y describir las metodologías de evaluación del aprendizaje utilizadas durante el período pandémico del COVID-19 por profesores de la disciplina de Química en escuelas públicas de la Región Metropolitana de Fortaleza (RMF), en el Estado de Ceará. Para ello, se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa de carácter exploratorio, descriptivo y explicativo. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de un cuestionario semiestructurado, elaborado según la caracterización del profesor y su práctica evaluativa durante el período de enseñanza a distancia. La información se obtuvo de 17 profesores de Química que trabajan en la escuela secundaria. Los resultados alcanzados muestran que el sistema de evaluación de aprendizajes a través de exámenes / pruebas en la enseñanza presencial se mantuvo en el modelo de enseñanza a distancia, los docentes tuvieron un abordaje integral del panorama que enfrentan los estudiantes, así como los docentes expuestos que no habían enfrentado obstáculos importantes en la adecuación de su práctica de evaluación al uso de recursos digitales. En resumen, se observó que, a juicio de los docentes, muchos estudiantes obtuvieron la aprobación sin dominar por completo los contenidos propuestos para la asignatura de Química en la escuela secundaria.A educação escolar brasileira tenciona o pleno desenvolvimento dos educandos. No acompanhamento deste processo formativo são empregados múltiplos instrumentos de diagnóstico, averiguação e reflexão. E, assim, instituiu-se a conjuntura basilar da avaliação educacional nos processos de ensino e de aprendizagem. Nessa convicção, este estudo almejou conhecer e descrever as metodologias de avaliação da aprendizagem utilizadas no período de pandemia da COVID-19 por professores da disciplina de Química em escolas públicas da Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza (RMF), no Estado do Ceará. Para isso, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza exploratória, descritiva e explicativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada por intermédio de um questionário semiestruturado, elaborado consoante a caracterização docente e de sua prática avaliativa no período de ensino remoto. Obteve-se as informações de 17 professores de Química atuantes no Ensino Médio. Os resultados alcançados mostraram que o sistema de avaliação da aprendizagem por exames/provas do ensino presencial se manteve no modelo de ensino remoto, os docentes dispuseram de uma conduta compreensiva quanto ao panorama enfrentado pelos estudantes, assim como os professoram expuseram não ter enfrentado grandes empecilhos na adequação de sua prática avaliativa ao uso dos recursos digitais.
