Resumo: The objective was to evaluate the effects of adding soybean oil on the serum and physiological parameters of horses submitted to physical exercise. Six Crioula breed mares were used, aged four years, with an approximate weight of 350 kg. The treatments were: Control 5 kg DM of oats (Avena sativa) and 5 kg DM of Aruana Grass (Panicum Jacq., Cv. Aruana); Treated: 3.52 kg of oats (Avena sativa), 5 kg of DM of Aruana Grass (Panicum Jacq., Cv. Aruana) and 500 g of soy oil. Weighings and blood collections were carried out on days 0, 14 and 28 of the fasting experiment, for the analysis of serum parameters. At 28 days of experimentation, the horses were submitted to exercise for 30 minutes. Before the beginning collections were performed, fasting, in the morning and immediately after the exercise, 10 minutes and 3 hours after the end of the exercise, in addition to checking the physiological parameters before and immediately after the exercise. The values showed a significant difference (P <0.05) for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL and triglycerides for the 14 days of the experiment, the 28 days showed only different for (P <0.05) the total cholesterol and LDL. With the performance of the exercise, there were no differences in the serum parameters, but a difference in the physiological parameters was observed between the collection periods. The addition of soybean oil to the diet of horses submitted to exercise does not interfere with the serum parameters, making it an alternative to energy diets.

Research, Society and Development2020-08-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/744410.33448/rsd-v9i9.7444Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 9; e448997444Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 9; e448997444Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 9; e4489974442525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/7444/6617Copyright (c) 2020 André Eduardo Mello Cerbaro; Rodolfo Noal Gonçalves; Jaqueline Schneider Lemes; Magda Pierezan; Vinícius Leobet Lunkes; Ricardo Zambarda Vazhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCerbaro, André Eduardo Mello Gonçalves, Rodolfo Noal Lemes, Jaqueline Schneider Pierezan, Magda Lunkes, Vinícius Leobet Vaz, Ricardo Zambarda 2020-09-18T01:42:11Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/7444Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:30:09.979193Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
