Resumo: The professional Education (PE) it comes winning visibility, against implementation of a broad set of educational reforms and the creation of several public policies and governmental programs. Among the various actions of the Federal Government in relation to this modality of education, finds itself the expansion of the Federal Network of Professional Scientific and Technological Education (FNPSTE), which has evolved so much of form quantitative as well as qualitative with the authorization of the creation of the Federal Institutes (IF). With the new institutionality of the IF, came some others changes in concerning teaching federal career. Therefore, the goal of this research is to analyze the changes in the teaching career, after the creation and expansion of the IF, allowing recognize of the advances and setbacks, in order to understand if these changes contributed positively to the professional development of teachers. For this its realized a descriptive research of documentary and bibliographic character by means of a qualitative approach with a predominance of data treatment through historical interpretation. We discuss the theme by having as basis of explanation the dialectical historical materialism. This research dialogues with several authors who talk about the FI, as Silva (2009), about the career in the FIs, Dominik (2017), Rangel and Canello (2012), and about teacher training and your professional development, García (1999) and Imbernón (2011, 2016). Its concludes, therefore, that the Law that restructures the teaching career of the FI equates, to a certain way, the teachers of the EBTT career with the of superiors Teaching, in addition that. its check too that the mentioned career gives opportunity for that them will ascend, in view of which them are stimulated to professional qualification (masters and doctorates) and have structures that encourage the participation in the research and extension, but there are also several tensioning such as the transitivity of the teacher by different levels and modality of teaching, simultaneously.

Entre las diversas acciones del Gobierno Federal en relación a esa modalidad de educación, se encuentra la expansión de la Red Federal de Educación Profesional Científica y Tecnológica (RFEPCT), que ha evolucionado tanto de forma cuantitativa como cualitativa con la autorización de creación de los Institutos Federales (IF). Con la nueva institucionalidad de los IF, vinieron algunos otros cambios en lo que se refiere a la carrera docente federal. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar los cambios en la carrera docente, después de la creación y expansión de los IF, permitiendo identificar los avances y los retrocesos, para comprender si esos cambios contribuyeron positivamente al desarrollo profesional de los profesores. Para ello, se realizó una investigación descriptiva de carácter documental y bibliográfico, por medio de un abordaje cualitativo con predominio de tratamiento de los datos a través de la interpretación histórica. Discutimos la temática teniendo como base de explicación el materialismo histórico dialéctico. Se concluye, por lo tanto, que la Ley que reestructura la carrera docente del IF equipara, en cierta medida, a los profesores de la carrera EBTT con los de Magisterio Superior, sumado a ello, se constata, también, que la referida carrera permite a los profesores en el sentido de que estos son estimulados a la cualificación profesional (maestría y doctorado) y dispone de estructuras que fomenten la participación en la investigación y en la extensión, pero hay, también, varios tensos como la transitividad del profesor por diversos niveles y modalidades de enseñanza simultáneamente.A Educação Profissional (EP) vem ganhando visibilidade face a implementação de um amplo conjunto de reformas educacionais e à criação de diversas políticas públicas e programas governamentais. Dentre as diversas ações do Governo Federal em relação a essa modalidade de educação, encontra-se a expansão da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional Científica e Tecnológica (RFEPCT), que tem evoluído tanto de forma quantitativa como qualitativa com a autorização de criação dos Institutos Federais (IF). Com a nova institucionalidade dos IF, vieram algumas outras mudanças no que diz respeito à carreira docente federal. Portanto, o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar as mudanças na carreira docente, após a criação e expansão dos IF, permitindo identificar os avanços e os retrocessos, de modo a compreender se essas mudanças contribuíram positivamente para o desenvolvimento profissional dos professores. Para isso, realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva de caráter documental e bibliográfico, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa com predominância de tratamento dos dados através da interpretação histórica. Discutimos a temática tendo como base de explicação o materialismo histórico dialético. Essa pesquisa dialoga com diversos autores que versam sobre os IF, como Silva (2009), sobre a carreira nos IF, Dominik (2017), Rangel e Canello (2012) e acerca da formação de professores e o seu desenvolvimento profissional, García (1999) e Imbernón (2011; 2016).
