Resumo: Brazil is an important tobacco exporter, while Rio Grande do Sul is the largest producer. However, tobacco growers are susceptible to various health problems during their workday, such as the Leaf Green Tobacco Disease (DFVT). Objective: To compare the hematological, hepatic and renal profile of tobacco growers with and without symptoms suggestive of DFVT in the stages of planting, harvesting and tobacco classification. Methodology: This is a case-control study using a previous database. Results: Cases of DFVT were analyzed in the stage of collection and classification, obtaining statistical significance in the dosage of monocytes during the two stages and also changes in the levels of hemoglobin during the stage of collection. Conclusion: It was concluded that tobacco growers with DFVT, during tobacco cultivation, may present changes in biochemical tests, such as monocytes and hemoglobin, thus harming their health.

Sin embargo, los cultivadores de tabaco son susceptibles a varios problemas de salud durante su jornada laboral, como la enfermedad del tabaco de hoja verde (DFVT). Objetivo: Comparar el perfil hematológico, hepático y renal de cultivadores de tabaco con y sin síntomas sugestivos de TVP en las etapas de siembra, cosecha y clasificación del tabaco. Metodología: Se trata de un estudio de casos y controles utilizando una base de datos previa. Resultados: Se analizaron casos de DFVT en la etapa de recolección y clasificación, obteniendo significancia estadística en la dosificación de monocitos durante las dos etapas y también cambios en los niveles de hemoglobina durante la etapa de recolección. Conclusión: Se concluyó que los tabacaleros con DFVT, durante el cultivo del tabaco, pueden presentar alteraciones en los exámenes bioquímicos, como monocitos y hemoglobina, perjudicando así su salud.Introdução: O Brasil é um importante exportador de tabaco, enquanto o Rio Grande do Sul é o maior produtor. Com tudo, o fumicultor ficar suscetível a diversos agravos de saúde durante sua jornada de trabalho, como a Doença da Folha Verde do Tabaco (DFVT). Objetivo: Comparar o perfil hematológico, hepático e renal de fumicultores com e sem quadro sugestivo da DFVT nas etapas do plantio, colheita e classificação do tabaco. Metodologia: Trata-se de estudo caso-controle através da utilização de um banco de dados prévio. Resultados: Foram analisados casos da DFVT na etapa de colheita e classificação, obtendo significância estatística no dosagem dos monócitos durante as duas etapas e alteração também nos níveis de hemoglobina durante a etapa da colheita.
