Resumo: | In early 2020, a pandemic state was decreed due to SARS-Cov-2, which resulted in the implementation of restrictive measures to control the disease, one of them being social isolation. This caused the mental health of the population to be affected, especially that of children. The aim of the study was to analyze the psychosocial impacts caused by this social isolation on children. This integrative literature review searched articles in the international database US National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), using the Health Science Descriptors (DeCS): "COVID-19", "child", "infant", "social isolation", "quarantine, "health", "psychological exhaustion" and "review", applying the Booleans "AND", "OR" and "AND NOT". Twenty-one articles were selected, with the guiding question: What are the psychosocial impacts on children due to isolation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic? The articles were gathered at four main themes: psychological changes; lifestyle habits; parental/family influence and school withdrawal, because the stress linked to the general exhaustion caused by confinement was expressive in girls and boys, which reflected several impacts resulting from social withdrawal. It was found that isolation brought negative and positive psychosocial repercussions in infants, since some parents sought family coping strategies during confinement. It is evident, therefore, the importance of greater attention with regard to the mental health status of children, in order to prevent future impasses. |

Research, Society and Development2022-03-14info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2720110.33448/rsd-v11i4.27201Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 4; e16511427201Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 4; e16511427201Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 4; e165114272012525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/27201/23786Copyright (c) 2022 Natália da Silva Araújo Marinho; Amanda Silva de Mattos; Andressa Maciel Silva; Giovanna Luiza Silva Roberto; Lorrayne Leite Dias; Mariana Rodrigues Borges; Léa Resende Mourahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMarinho, Natália da Silva Araújo Mattos, Amanda Silva de Silva, Andressa Maciel Roberto, Giovanna Luiza SilvaDias, Lorrayne Leite Borges, Mariana Rodrigues Moura, Léa Resende 2022-03-27T17:17:09Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/27201Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:45:00.825455Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
