Physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of water reservoirs for industrial supply

Resumo: The present work aimed to analyze the water quality of different reservoirs used to supply a small food industry located in the city of Campina Grande-PB, through the physical-chemical and microbiological parameters. The samples were collected in five different reservoirs and the following parameters were analyzed: pH, total dissolved solids, chlorides, residual chlorine, turbidity, total hardness. Microbiological analyzes were determined using the Colilert method. No high pH value was found, which would negatively affect the disinfection process, as it would accelerate the dissociation of hypochlorous acid. No residual chlorine concentration greater than 2.0 mg / L was observed in any sample. Therefore, the registered physical-chemical and microbiological analyzes are within the terms of Ordinance No. 2914/11. We recommend carrying out periodic control and monitoring of water quality, preventing the transmission of diseases.

Las muestras se recogieron en cinco depósitos diferentes y se analizaron los siguientes parámetros: pH, sólidos disueltos totales, cloruros, cloro residual, turbidez, dureza total. Los análisis microbiológicos se determinaron utilizando el método Colilert. No se encontró un valor de pH alto, lo que afectaría negativamente el proceso de desinfección, ya que aceleraría la disociación del ácido hipocloroso. No se observó concentración de cloro residual mayor a 2.0 mg / L en ninguna muestra. Por lo tanto, los análisis físico-químicos y microbiológicos registrados están dentro de los términos de la Ordenanza N ° 2914/11. Recomendamos llevar a cabo un control y monitoreo periódico de la calidad del agua, previniendo la transmisión de enfermedades.O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a qualidade da água de diferentes reservatórios utilizados para abastecimento de uma pequena indústria de alimentos localizada na cidade de Campina Grande- PB, através dos parâmetros físico-químicos e microbiológicos. As amostras foram coletadas em cinco diferentes reservatórios e analisados os seguintes parâmetros: pH, sólidos dissolvidos totais, cloretos, cloro residual, turbidez, dureza total. As análises microbiológicas foram determinadas pelo método do Colilert. Não foi encontrado nenhum valor elevado de pH, o que afetaria negativamente o processo de desinfecção, pois aceleraria a dissociação do ácido hipocloroso. Não foi observado em nenhuma amostra concentração de cloro residual superior a 2,0 mg/L. Sendo assim, as análises físico-químicas e microbiológicas registradas estão dentro do que determina a Portaria nº2914/11.
