Fier-à-bras: the different representations of the setting for the Mucker conflict

Resumo: The place where the Mucker lived at the end of the XIX century, the Ferrabraz hill, located in the town of Sapiranga (RS) was, through time, subject to several different interpretations. In the analysis proposed here, we have discussed the extent and ways in which the social representations built around the Ferrabraz have been presented in historiography texts, as well as in different forms of narratives, which have disseminated certain imageries on this important place of the Mucker´s history.
