Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate early childhood children in early childhood education. To reach the goals we had the collaboration of ten mothers and babies living in the city of Santa Maria / RS. For its realization, we use cross-sectional survey with descriptive approach of quantitative and qualitative nature. The methodological instrument used was a questionnaire seeking to collect personal information from the mother and baby, as well as reviews of the reflexes of babies. The evaluations took place in the first and sixth month. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation percentage). Of the ten assessments carried out, three had some type of change. Of these changes, one that inspired more attention is the reflection tonic, because that appears around the 3rd month being inhibited at 6 months, if it occurs can not change some tasks like rolling stand, coordination of eyes and hands and some movements spinning. We trust that to attend kindergarten babies are stimulated as they often mothers for lack of information does not have the perception that the growth and development of babies are late.

Para atingir os objetivos propostos contamos com a colaboração de dez mães e bebês residentes no Município de Santa Maria/RS. Para sua realização, utilizamos pesquisa transversal com abordagem descritiva de cunho quanti-qualitativo. O instrumento metodológico utilizado foi um questionário procurando coletar informações pessoais da mãe e do bebê, além de avaliações dos reflexos dos bebês. As avaliações aconteceram no primeiro e no sexto mês. Os dados foram analisados através da estatística descritiva (média desvio-padrão e porcentagem). Das dez avaliações realizadas, três tiveram algum tipo de alteração.
