Resumo: Objective: To identify the prevention strategies for breast cancer in primary health care through an integrative review.Material and Methods: The search was conducted in four databases with the descriptors “Primary Prevention” AND “Breast Neoplasms” AND “Health Education” OR “Health Promotion” OR “Educational Technology”.Results: A total of 10 articles were selected, divided into the following categories: reduction of risk factors; disclosure about breast cancer diagnosis; and use of chemo preventive agents.Conclusion: It is noted that different strategies are adopted in primary health care, in order to ensure greater control of modifiable risk factors, besides the adoption of careful behaviors, such as: healthy eating, non-use of alcohol and tobacco, practice of physical activity, breaking of myths and beliefs about the disease, breast selfexamination, mammography and use of chemo preventive agents.
