Resumo: The objective of the study was to analyze and describe the bronchial hygiene maneuvers most used in the clinical practice of physical therapists who work in the Intensive Care Unit. The sample consisted of 50 physiotherapists who worked in Intensive Care Units, and who answered the questionnaire applied in the research. For the analysis of the results, an electronic database was created and descriptive analysis was used. 50 online questionnaires were answered. Most professionals had more than 11 years of training and less than 2 years of experience. The most prominent maneuvers were: endotracheal aspiration, early mobilization, manual chest compression maneuver, vibrocompression and postural drainage. The reasons for choosing these techniques were “I see it to be more effective in clinical practice” and “The literature shows to be more effective”. Further studies are necessary to ensure the benefits and disadvantages in the practice of these maneuvers.
