Summary: BACKGROUND: Urinary incontinence (UI) refers to the complaint of any involuntary loss of urine. In general, its prevalence is 26.2% in women and tends to increase with advancing age. CrossFit® is a type of physical exercise that has become popular in recent years in Brazil, having contributed to reducing a sedentary lifestyle.OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to gather information about the level of knowledge of CrossFit® practitioners about UI, quantify its prevalence and determine the impact on the quality of life of young practitioners, in the micro-region of Jaú/SP.METHODS: The sample consisted of 53 women with a mean age of 33.4±8.5 years. The data were obtained through the application of two closed questionnaires, whose descriptive statistical treatment took a quantitative approach.RESULTS: It was found that 33.9% of women had UI, with 61% reporting moderate episodes of urinary loss, demonstrating some impact on the quality of life of the respondents.CONCLUSION: Thus, it can be observed that UI is present even in the female, young and physically active population.
