Consenso y disensas de profesores y gerentes sobre diversidad sexual y LGBTfobia en la escuela

Resumo: Studies on sexual diversity and the fight against LGBTphobia in schools have revealed how much this field is still permeated by a set of mechanisms to control sexuality and legitimize violations, prejudices and discrimination against non-heterosexual identities that permeate the school setting. Young people and teachers experience LGBTphobia that manifests itself as physical, symbolic and verbal violence. In this direction, this research arises as a result of our Master's dissertation in Education (PPGEDUC-UFPE-CAA), which sought to analyze the main consensus and disagreements of teachers and managers on sexual diversity and LGBT phobia at school. To achieve this goal, we opted to use theoretical references from researchers and authors who theoretically discuss sexual diversity and coping with LGBTphobia in schools. It was within this same perspective, in methodological terms, that we built the research, opting for a qualitative approach, extended case method and application of script and semi-structured interviews with school managers and school teachers from the State Education Network, located in the municipality from Caruaru –PE. Data interpretation was performed in the light of the extended case method. Our results show that the main consensus in schools in relation to the theme of sexual diversity occurs through the commitment of teachers to address issues related to gender and sexuality in their disciplines, so that LGBT identities, which permeate the school, feel safe and valued.

Jovens e professores/as experimentam a LGBTfobia que se manifesta como a violência física, simbólica e verbal. Nessa direção, esta pesquisa surge como resultado da nossa dissertação de mestrado em Educação (PPGEDUC-UFPE-CAA), que buscou analisar os principais consensos e dissensos de professores/as e gestoras sobre diversidade sexual e LGBTfobia na escola. Para atingir esse objetivo, optamos por utilizar referências teóricas de pesquisadores/as e autores/as que discutem teoricamente diversidade sexual e enfrentamento da LGBTfobia nas escolas. Foi dentro dessa mesma perspectiva, em termos metodológicos, que construímos a pesquisa, optando por uma abordagem qualitativa, método do caso alargado e aplicação de roteiro e entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestoras escolares e professores/as de escola da Rede Estadual de Ensino, localizadas no município de Caruaru –PE. A interpretação dos dados foi realizada à luz do método do caso alargado. Nossos resultados evidenciam que os principais consensos nas escolas em relação à temática da diversidade sexual ocorrem por meio do compromisso dos/as professores/as em pautar, em suas disciplinas, as questões referentes a gênero e sexualidade, de forma que as identidades LGBTs, que permeiam a escola, sintam-se seguras e valorizadas.Los estudios sobre la diversidad sexual y la lucha contra la LGBTfobia en las escuelas han revelado hasta qué punto este campo aún está permeado por un conjunto de mecanismos para controlar la sexualidad y legitimar las violaciones, prejuicios y discriminación contra las identidades no heterosexuales que permean el entorno escolar. Los jóvenes y los profesores experimentan la LGBTfobia que se manifiesta como violencia física, simbólica y verbal. En esta dirección, esta investigación surge como resultado de nuestra Tesis de Maestría en Educación (PPGEDUC-UFPE-CAA), que buscó analizar los principales consensos y desacuerdos de docentes y directivos sobre la diversidad sexual y la fobia LGBT en la escuela. Para lograr este objetivo, optamos por utilizar referencias teóricas de investigadores y autores que teóricamente discuten la diversidad sexual y el afrontamiento de la LGBTfobia en las escuelas. Fue dentro de esta misma perspectiva, en términos metodológicos, que construimos la investigación, optando por un enfoque cualitativo, método de caso extendido y aplicación de guión y entrevistas semiestructuradas con directivos escolares y docentes de la Red de Educación del Estado, ubicada en el municipio. de Caruaru –PE. La interpretación de los datos se realizó a la luz del método del caso extendido.
