Resumo: This is a research with descriptive purpose, aimed at analyzing the relationships between a port entity and the surrounding community. To this end, between October and December 2017, field surveys were conducted with interviews with CODESA and tenants in order to identify how communication is established between them and the community surrounding Vitoria port. It can be concluded that CODESA, as a port authority, provides communication channels for the surrounding civil community, but without taking actions based on its demands. This also happens with the tenants, which also demonstrate that they do not have close relations with the surrounding communities.

Para esto, se realizó entre los meses de octubre a diciembre del 2017 estudios de campo con entrevistas a CODESA y arrendatarias a fin de identificar como se establece la comunicación entre ellas y la comunidad situada en el entorno del puerto de Vitória. Se puede concluir que CODESA, por ser una autoridad portuaria, dispone canales de comunicación para la comunidad civil del entorno, pero, sin realizar acciones a partir de las demandas provenientes de ella. Esto también sucede con las arrendatarias, que también demuestran que no tienen relaciones de cercanía con las comunidades del entorno.Trata-se de uma pesquisa com finalidade descritiva, destinada a analisar as relações entre uma entidade portuária e a comunidade do entorno. Para isto, realizou-se entre os meses de outubro a dezembro de 2017 pesquisas de campo com entrevistas à CODESA e arrendatárias a fim de identificar como se estabelece a comunicação entre elas e a comunidade situada no entorno do porto de Vitória. Pode-se concluir que a CODESA, por ser uma autoridade portuária, disponibiliza canais de comunicação para a comunidade civil do entorno, mas sem realizar ações a partir das demandas dela.
