Resumo: This article originates from research at the doctoral level and presents reflections on pedagogical practices with babies, especially in the relationships they establish with books in early childhood education. As a methodological tool, ethnography was listed, due the desire to give visibility to the plots and experiences of children, while participating in the research. Through the experiences with books, babies discover the world and themselves, thus, the analyzes presented discuss the potential of the literary project for babies and their relations with books in the library space and the researched nursery room.

Como herramienta metodológica se enumeró la etnografía, por el deseo de dar visibilidad a las tramas y vivencias de los niños, mientras participan en la investigación. A través de las experiencias con los libros, los bebés descubren el mundo, así, los análisis presentados discuten el potencial del proyecto literario para bebés y sus relaciones con los libros en el espacio de la biblioteca y con la cafetería de la guardería investigada.O presente artigo se origina de uma pesquisa em nível de doutorado e apresenta reflexões sobre as práticas educativo-pedagógicas com bebês, sobretudo nas relações que estabelecem com os livros na educação infantil. Como ferramenta metodológica, elencou-se a etnografia, pelo desejo de dar visibilidade aos enredos e experiências das crianças, enquanto partícipes da pesquisa.
