This study attempted to establish a study regarding the construction and reading of graphs with geographic themes for blind students and low vision by performing practices with students in elementary and high school visually impaired, blind and low vision school EMIEE "Maria Aparecida Muniz Michelin - José Benedito Carneiro - Deaf and Blind - DA / DV "(EE), located in Araras-SP. Among the methodological procedures performed, we highlight the construction of the material in the laboratory accompanied by regular visits to the study area, to check and test material produced as well as to perform adjustments and modifications in accordance with the needs that were presented by special students.The material built and the lessons applied during the project aimed not only to create adaptations of materials and teaching methods available to sighted students, but to elaborate practices that met the needs and students' perception of blind and low vision.Among the components used in the preparation and mounting of graphics highlight the low-cost materials such as scrap with pleasing textures and bold colors and contrasting that sharpen the senses of blind students and low vision as EVA, cork, glue relief etc.Also, enter in the charts and histograms setogramas sound information produced by the software MAPAVOX.At the end of work it was observed that student involvement in the process of knowledge construction in case the construction of graphs and histograms setogramas showed significant results in their teaching and learning process.
