The extension project "Introduction to Jiu Jitsu," has the intention to transmit the teachings and concepts of martial art, with the intention to change the stereotype and the vision that society has on this figure, seeking to provide for the internal and external community UNESP the experiences and expertise with the sport and thus instigate reflection of practitioners, in practice, what is the Jiu Jitsu and how his philosophy and methodology. Enabling, with the project extension of the Department of Physical Education, improved visibility and adherence to sport influencing also in its expansion and popular knowledge. We believe that with practice we can explore other avenues concerning the practitioner who is the improvement of your body consciousness, your physical and also psychological aspects, such as welfare and intersocial relations. We use a progressive approach, based on the experiences and livings practitioners evolving according to assimilation and technical development of the same. And for the activity requires a Kimono and a tatami room, we can still adapt the lessons to practitioners who do not have the proper attire.
