The preparatory course of Dracena UNESP had the beginning of its activities in August 2006, aiming to empower underserved public school students of the new high Paulista region to vestibular of Brazilian public and private universities. For this, the course has a team of teachers who are dedicated to teaching the basic subjects of high school. This study shows the effectiveness of a pre-university preparatory course in the life of a student, about to join a university. This paper aims to empower disadvantaged students Dracena and region for entry in Brazilian universities, by passing the entrance examinations. This work is intended to show that it is possible, through actions carried out by student teachers of Animal Science and Agricultural Engineering courses, free of charge and with support from Prorector the Unesp Extension, transmitting basic knowledge to interested students. These actions can be reached through different classes, such as video presentations, debates, discussions and lectures prepared from a apostilled teaching materials. Class events held outside the room as travel, career fairs and workshops with professionals from different disciplines, can be beneficial alternatives to enrich the teaching practice. From these experiences, there favoring the Unesp Dracena of the students in the recognition on behalf of the great social role they play in the community.
