Resumo: This dissertation aims to analyze the Christian Confessional Education in Brazil, guided by the Calvinistic or theistic worldview present in the schools of Protestant orientation according to the work of Comenius, educator who wrote Didactics Magna in the seventeenth century. The purpose of this study is to assay the principles of Comenius' pedagogy as they intertwine with the Christian educational project in the 21st century, trying to understand how these schools contribute significantly to the ethical and citizen formation of their students based on their educational projects oriented by Christian moral and ethical values contained in the Bible. An analysis is made of the role of the teacher of the Christian confessional school, of its curriculum and how it can be organized and why these schools need to work from the perspective of an integral education to the human being, aiming to develop the multiple human potentialities from the perspective of the intellect, critical reasoning and capacity for action for social transformation, enabling ethical and citizen action. It is verified that this educational project collaborates to instill in the students important qualities such as honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and adaptability that confers to them advantages in family, social and work life coexistence, achieving the objectives established in the current Brazilian Educational Law. The importance of moral and ethical values in human formation as an essential element for the constitution of the citizen and to make him aware of his choices is also verified.
