Resumo: Evaluating the energy and nutritional value of cottonseed meal (CSM) or not supplemented with enzymes in diets for broilers, there were nine experiments: eight essays metabolism and a live performance. Four metabolism trials, the traditional method of total excreta collection, we used 390 male chicks in the pre-starter (one to seven days), early (eight to 21 days), growth (22 to 33 days) and finisher (34 to 42 days). Four other essays, by the method of collection of ileal digesta were performed on the seventh, 21th, 34 and 42 days of age. Assays metabolisms were completely randomized with four treatments, six replicates and ten, eight, six and four birds per cage for the first, second, third and four phases, respectively. Treatments were two reference diets with or without enzymes and four test diets with the replacement of 25% of the reference diet by CSM with or without enzymes, supplemented by the method on top. The enzymes used were phytase (150 g/t) and protease (200 g/t). There were no effects of enzyme addition on the energy values of CSM containing enzymes or not, just about the digestibility of phosphorus and calcium during growth. There was no effect on ileal digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and digestible calcium and phosphorus from the CSM, but improved the digestibility of these minerals in diets with CSM, growth phases and final. In performance testing, we used 390 broiler chickens to evaluate the growth performance, carcass yield, bone parameters and economic evaluation of diets. The experimental period lasted 42 days, divided in phases: early (8-21 days), growth (22 to 33 days) and late (34 to 42 days). The experimental design was completely randomized with five replicates and 13 birds per experimental plot. The diets consisted of six treatments: three controls, based on corn and soybean meal (SBM) without enzyme, phytase (150 g/t) and protease (200 g/t), respectively, and three tests with adding 15% CSM, without enzymes with phytase and protease, respectively. The enzymes were supplemented by the method specified dow. The CSM or not supplemented with enzymes does not compromise the production indices, yield carcasses, cuts, bone parameters of broilers and profitability of poultry production, providing similar results to the control diet based on corn and SBM, with nutritional levels recommended.

Submitted by (edna.saturno@ufrpe.br) on 2017-03-24T11:37:02Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Alcilene Maria Andrade Tavares Samay.pdf: 447175 bytes, checksum: 4797f6909c15ba44b3d330e3b9bfada9 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2017-03-24T11:37:02Z (GMT).
