This paper contains the proposal of a research program which is based on the reconstruction of meaning under the theoretical framework of greimasian semiotics. It focuses on the problem of lhe existence - or not - of interaction in the modal construction of the subject insofar as Latin American identity seems to be based on the postulation of cultural relativism.This research will contribute to the elaboration of a typology of Latin American discourse.The recognition of mechanisms of social discourse enables us lo interact in our context and in the world we tive in.
