Resumo: Por meio do maravilhoso e de alegorias fantásticas artistas (re)significam períodos históricos. Norteando-se em teóricos sobre o Romance Histórico como Seymour Menton e Gyorgy Lukács, sem dispensar a historiografia, temo possibilidades de compreender que Romances Históricos, como este em nossa pesquisa, torna-se fundamental para o conhecimento e ressignificação histórica com base naquele que sofreu a história, que fez parte da história e, enfim de quem fez história. No Romance Histórico é possível perceber a falta da cronologia, no entanto, há possibilidades de diálogo entre esta e a historiografia. Como isto foi representado em Incidente em Antares. É a pergunta a ser respondida nesta pesquisa.

Guided by Historical Novel theoreticals as Seymour Menton and Gyorgy Lukács, without dispensing historiography, we have the possilitity to understand that Historical Novels like this in our research, become fundamental for the knowledge and historical resignificance based on those who suffered the story, who were part of the story and ultimately who made History. In the historical novel we can perceive a lack of chronology, however, there are possibilities for a dialogue between this and historiography. How was this represented in Incidente em Antares.
