Violence among fans in the footballing context is a reality in Brazil as well as in various parts of the world. This work aims to describe the profile of the offenders, members of the main football teams fan clubs, in the city of Curitiba. With a focus on data extracted from detailed terms, police investigations and flagrant crimes opened by the Mobile Police Station of Attendance to Football and Events in Curitiba, from 2013 to 2015, a total of 153 criminal offences were found – 99 detailed terms, 54 police investigations and no flagrant crime. It was sought by means of this documentation to find out who these offenders would be by using sociodemographic data, such as age, sex, income, schooling and if they also have criminal records as well as if they are members of fan clubs. After compiling these data, it was concluded, among other aspects, that young people were the ones most involved in the crimes, the average age being 26-52 and the standard deviation 8.01. Almost all of them were males (98.7%) and their income, in general, did not exceed two minimum wages. The circunstancial infractions were committed by football fans (29.63%) and the ones deriving from police investigations (70.37%) by members of associations of football fans. The researcher thought all this over and came to the conclusion that these data suggest that the offenders are young people who seek to be part of a group, in a yarning for “belonging”, they come from a cultural and socioeconomic condition of little expressiveness , the most serious crimes are committed by members of associations of football fans and the lighter ones by ordinary fans. All these conditions together are some of the indicators for the violence in the soccer scope. Some ways to reduce violence were recommended, including punishing guilty offenders, alternative measures, attendance to security bodies on game days, when there should be a psychological approach to such fans in this period, working with leaders and fans of fan clubs with the purpose of working the culture of peace.
