Resumo: Abstract Problems of regional/local nature requires the use of tools that analyze processes related to the development model compatible with the principles of sustainable development. In this context, research on sustainability gains space in the debate on development, from the use of indicators. Although scarce in the State of Amapá, sustainability assessments can recommend the assessment of the impacts that emerge around large private projects in the Amazon. In this sense, this article seeks to assess the levels of sustainability of Laranjal and Vitória of Jari, using indicators that incorporate several dimensions and aspects. Methodologically, indicators collected from official sources will be used, treated and standardized by their own methodology, which will result in a score that will mark the municipal progress towards sustainable development. The results indicate that the two municipalities have weak performances that compromise their municipal sustainability and the direction to Agenda 2030.
