Resumo: The study presented in this article aims to characterize the use of podcasts in the speech-language pathology field in Brazil. A search was carried out in March 2022 on the streaming platforms Spotify, GooglePodcasts, Castbox and Deezer, using the free terms ‘Fonoaudiologia’ and ‘Fono’. Podcasts with the theme of speech-language pathology, presented by speech-language pathologists and/or speech-language pathology students, were included. The podcasts presenting a single episode were excluded and 34 podcasts were included in this study. The results revealed that 88.23% of them started their activities during the pandemic period. However, only 26.47% were disclosed until March 19, 2022. In addition, 32.35% have less than five episodes. It was observed that 23.53% were linked to higher education institutions. Most of them focus on the voice area and adopt the interview format. We had concluded that a significant number of podcasts in the speech-language pathology field emerged from 2020. Nevertheless, most of them was discontinued shortly afterwards.
