Resumo: This text describes part of a project which aims to develop appropriation process through any kind of electronic media for mediation of the literary compositions reading. The clipping presented here is about a kind of hyper textual exercise that is carried out through an incursion in the first hundred pages and some others necessary to this demonstration of the romance novel The Devil to Pay in the Backlands, from João Guimarães Rosa. The description takes advantage of the capture of eight screens of the computerized system that provides the reader a set of orientation about the hypertext and its browsing. O recorte aqui apresentado diz respeito a um tipo de exercício hipertextual que se realiza mediante a incursão nas cem primeiras páginas (e algumas outras necessárias a esta demonstração) do romance Grande Sertão: veredas, de João Guimarães Rosa. A descrição se vale da captura de oito telas do sistema computadorizado que fornecem ao leitor um conjunto de orientações sobre o hipertexto e sua navegabilidade.
