Resumo: |
This dissertation aims to present a reflection on the rhetorical practices developed by members of IHGB between 1838 and 1850. It is intended to evidence the involvement of the Institute in a politic project aimed at the consolidation of monarchy regime and to promote the national progress. Through of the statements, obituaries, tributes and speeches of the gender, it is possible to observe the use of language resources to persuade a broad audience (politicians, national and foreign scholars etc.) that IHGB was one of the basic institutions for the realization of that project. |
