Resumo: The article analyzes the experience of legal liability of the Belo Monte Constructor Consortium (CCBM) in relation to the sexual rights of children and adolescents from political and legal strategies of the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents of Altamira (CMDCA), state Pará, in the context of construction of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant. At first, discuss theoretical and normative aspects of the relationship between children's rights, social control and business. Then, it is careful analysis of the process and content of the Commitment Pact drawn between CMDCA and CCBM. Finally, reflects on the limits and the possibilities of establishing a more active function for the social control and the children’s rights in the regulation of business.

De início, discutem-se aspectos teórico-normativos da relação entre direitos das crianças, controle social e práticas empresariais. Depois, faz-se análise detida do processo e do conteúdo do Pacto de Compromisso elaborado entre CMDCA e CCBM.
