Entrando no campo da sugestão, neste livro explicitamos possíveis interpretações sobre os desenhos kadiwéu, sejam eles compreendidos como linguagem ou como agência. [...] Num paralelismo entre conjuntos de elementos gráficos e de conhecimentos míticos, compreendemos que o godidigo (nossa escrita, nossa carta – como os Ejiwajegi definem seus desenhos) estabelece inúmeras conexões, que não são complementares aos conhecimentos primordiais, mas sim a mesma coisa, ou seja, tais desenhos são mitos gráficos, pois são uma técnica de memória alternativa à escrita e à oralidade, que comunica os conhecimentos primordiais aos seus espectadores e, desta forma, agem neles ao reconvocarem memórias. (INTRODUÇÃO, Maria Raquel da Cruz Duran) O livro, dividido em três capítulos, apresenta no primeiro vinte dos padrões gráficos de godidigo e as relações de aproximações e afastamentos que se operam por meio dos desenhos. No segundo capítulo, os godidigo conduzem o leitor à esfera das festas de iniciação feminina, as festas de debutantes, celebradas por algumas famílias no contexto dos cultos cristãos ministrados por pastores indígenas. Os godidigo remetem ainda às lutas pela reconquista da terra, às festas de retomada, aos ambientes da política contemporânea dos Ejiwajegi Kadiwéu. O terceiro capítulo trata do complexo da cerâmica, a partir das reflexões e das práticas que se dão nas diferentes etapas que conformam o ateliê das artistas ejiwajegi kadiwéu: o aguardado deslocamento das mulheres pelo território indígena no Pantanal em busca do barro e dos vegetais que fornecem as cores utilizadas nos padrões gráficos impressos na argila, a produção e a queima da cerâmica na aldeia e, por fim, os projetos culturais e as associações que constituem as redes de circulação, de troca e de venda da cerâmica nas cidades circunvizinhas. […] In a parallel between sets of graphic elements and mythical knowledge, we understand that Godidigo (our writing, our letter – as the Ejiwajegi define their drawings) establishes countless connections, which are not complementary to primordial knowledge, but rather the same thing, that is, , such drawings are graphic myths, as they are an alternative memory technique to writing and orality, which communicates primordial knowledge to its viewers and, in this way, they act on them by recalling memories. (INTRODUCTION, Maria Raquel da Cruz Duran) The book, divided into three chapters, presents in the first twenty of the graphic patterns of godidigo and the relations of approximations and distances that operate through the drawings. In the second chapter, the godidigo lead the reader to the sphere of feminine initiation festivities, the debutante festivities, celebrated by some families in the context of Christian cults ministered by indigenous pastors. The godidigo also refer to the struggles for the reconquest of the land, to the retaking parties, to the contemporary political environments of the Ejiwajegi Kadiwéu. The third chapter deals with the ceramics complex, based on the reflections and practices that take place in the different stages that make up the ejiwajegi kadiwéu artists' studio: the long-awaited displacement of women through the indigenous territory of the Pantanal in search of the clay and vegetables they supply the colors used in the graphic patterns printed on the clay, the production and burning of ceramics in the village and, finally, the cultural projects and associations that constitute the networks for the circulation, exchange and sale of ceramics in the surrounding cities.
