O herói religioso na literatura de cordel: uma análise discursiva

Resumo: Our Course Conclusion Paper is a continuation and a deepening of the research project of the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC-UFS) entitled "The discursive construction of the ethos of the hero in the Sergipe cordel", coordinated by Profa . Dr. Márcia Regina Curado Pereira Mariano and developed next to the Department of Letters of the campus Prof. Alberto Carvalho, Federal University of Sergipe. Its purpose is to observe as the speakers of the Cordel of Sister Dulce, written by Antônio Ribeiro da Conceição, from the last letter of Father Cícero Romão, a line written by João Firmino Cabral; And the life and death line of Frei Damião, written by Luiz Alves da Silva, construct the discursive image of Sister Dulce, Frei Damião and Padre Cícero as saints and heroes of the people. In an interdisciplinary study, we look for the epic hero and relate it to the concept of discursive ethos, seen in rhetorical and discursive studies. In order to perform the analysis, we base the following authors: Silva and Ramalho (2007), Luciano (2012), Perelman and Tyteca (2005), Ferreira (2010), Fiorin (2008) and Amossy (2005). Our analysis points out, among other strategies that may lead the reader to persuasion, to use the arguments of authority and sacrifice, and to compare, among others
