RESUMO: Intencionamos analisar Entre quatro paredes, de Jean-Paul Sartre, não para identificar as ideias existencialistas de seu autor, mas sim observar de que maneira é possível compreender a peça como uma tragédia. Para tanto, este ensaio será dividido em dois diferentes momentos, porém complementares. Primeiramente, buscamos formular uma síntese do trágico no pensamento de Schopenhauer, sobretudo, no que diz respeito à distinção que ele faz entre as três modalidades de tragédia; em seguida, analisamos a peça Entre quatro paredes, segundo os pressupostos schopenhauerianos acerca do trágico. Em outras palavras, objetivamos estabelecer um diálogo entre filósofos tão díspares, buscando uni-los num mesmo ponto de convergência: a literatura. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Arthur Schopenhauer. Trágico. Entre quatro paredes.        ABSTRACT: We  intend to analyze  No Exit, by Jean-Paul Sartre, not to identify the existentialist ideas of his author, but rather to note how it is possible understanding the play as a tragedy. Therefore, this essay will be divided into two different moments, but complementary. Firstly, we seek to formulate a synthesis of the tragic thought of Schopenhauer, especially with regard to the distinction he makes among the three modes of tragedy; then, we analyze the play No Exit, according to schopenhauerian presuppositions about the tragic. In other words, we aim to establish a dialogue between two philosophers so disparate, seeking to unite them in a single point of convergence: the literature. KEYWORDS: Arthur Schopenhauer. Tragic.
