Resumo: | How has the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic affected the mobility of children? It is known that at the beginning of this pandemic and its social isolation, only the services considered essential remained in operation, in which face-to-face classes were virtualized. However, even after the relaxation of other services, the schools kept their activities virtualized and, thus, the present article aimed to make use of counter-mapping, alternative cartography and experiential mapping through children's authorial maps, so that they could present the places they had visited and would like to go to during this period of pandemic reclusion. This activity was carried out in the year 2020, with 22 children of Basic Education, in a school in the city of Duque de Caxias, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The proposal was carried out through the Google Classroom platform, in which the students sent their maps, attaching a photograph of the drawing, using the cell phone camera. From this material, we tried to articulate this geographic way of thinking with cartographic language and the geographic concept of place, working on what we call "maps of social isolation". We verified that the cartographic language could be developed from the elaboration of the experiential children's maps, which proved to be fundamental for the students to build the concept of place. Keywords: Living children's maps. Cartographic language. Place. Remote learning. Covid-19. |
