Encounters between academic training and professional practice in Primary Health Care

Resumo: It is expected that future health professionals will have a consolidated formation in a generalist view with human, ethical, critical and reflective principles. The present study aimed to understand how an interprofessional team recognizes in the areas of academic training of its professionals, the teaching-learning process learned about the Unified Health System. The qualitative method was used with the use of semi-structured individual interviews and focus groups. The results found that Primary Health Care is an area with low intentionality for professional performance and inconsistent academic curricula for the training of professionals. This study invites us to reflect on the fact that higher education training should be substantially closer to the bases of the health system in force in the country, given the need to train future health professionals able to assist the singularities of the health-disease process in the community.

O presente estudo objetivou compreender como uma equipe interprofissional reconhece nas áreas de formação acadêmica dos seus profissionais, o processo de ensino-aprendizagem sobre o Sistema Único de Saúde. Utilizou-se o método qualitativo com a utilização de entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais e grupos focais. Encontrou-se nos resultados a Atenção Primária à Saúde como uma área com baixa intencionalidade para a atuação profissional e currículos acadêmicos inconstantes para a formação dos profissionais.
