Resumo: This paper aims to deal with the interpretative tension present in the Aristotelian concept of phronesis by analyzing the point of view of two great readers of Aristotle concerning the matter: Alasdair MacIntyre and Paul Ricoeur. After presentation of MacIntyre’s and Ricoeur’s analyses of phronesis in Aristotle, their criticisms and uses of the concept, we’ll try to give a critical evaluation of this philosophical intertextuality.
