Resumo: Introduction: Reviews and interviews published in scientific journals receive little attention in the field of Information Science. This study defends the idea that the analysis of these textual genres can demonstrate scientific recognition when they are taken as objects of study from bibliometric perspectives. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to make a theoretical essay on book reviews and interviews and develop a model for analyzing these textual genres published in scientific journals. Method: Exploratory and descriptive research using quantitative and qualitative approaches from bibliographic research, bibliometric and content analysis. The literature in the fields of Information Science, Sociology of Science and Linguistics were essential to theoretically support the proposal, which was complemented by reading and analyzing reviews (n=513) and interviews (n=53) published between 1992 and 2019 in the journal Revista de Estudos Feministas. Results: Among the main results are a theoretical essay that highlighted the characteristics of reviews and interviews, and an analysis model composed of the main categories of indicators present in reviews and interviews: the profiles of the review and the work reviewed, by the author(s) of the work and the reviewer; the profiles of the interviewee, the interviewer and the interview, as well as the academic values and attributes that are usually valued in the elaboration of these textual genres. Conclusion: The analysis model developed signals the scientific recognition present in reviews and interviews, and highlights the importance of these objects of study for the field of Information Science.
