The teaching and learning of Mathematics in the Early Years: experiences and narratives of Normal Course students

Resumo: This research will contribute to discuss the importance of the initial training offered in the Normal Course modality, which aims to train teachers who will work in the early years. In this movement, we provide narrative writing in order to favor reflections arising from experiences in the school context during internship interventions in the early years. In this sense, the writing of the narratives rescues indications of being a teacher, the ways of teaching and learning Mathematics, the perceptions about the relationships between the methodological procedures of teaching Mathematics and the dichotomy between theory and practice in the development of pedagogical practices in the internship period. Thus, the objective of this investigation is to analyze the narratives of normalists in training, covering the experiences in the process of teaching and learning mathematics in the early years in a historical-cultural perspective. The research is presented as a qualitative approach with characteristics of narrative research. We evidenced that reflective writing, through logbooks, made it possible to experience the teaching and learning of mathematics in the early years as well as the meanings attributed to what was experienced in the educational process during the teaching internship for pedagogical practice as future teachers.

En este movimiento, proporcionamos oportunidades para la escritura narrativa con el fin de favorecer las reflexiones que surgen de las experiencias en el contexto escolar durante las intervenciones de prácticas en los primeros años. En este sentido, la escritura de las narrativas trae a colación indicios del ser docente, formas de enseñar y aprender matemática, percepciones sobre la relación entre los procedimientos metodológicos para la enseñanza de la matemática y la dicotomía entre teoría y práctica en el desarrollo de las prácticas pedagógicas durante el período de pasantía. Así, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las narrativas de los profesores en prácticas, recogiendo sus experiencias en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de las matemáticas en los primeros años desde una perspectiva histórico- -cultural. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo con las características de la investigación narrativa. Encontramos que la escritura reflexiva, a través de los cuadernos de bitácora, permitió vivenciar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las matemáticas en los primeros años, así como los significados atribuidos a lo experimentado en el proceso educativo durante las prácticas docentes para la práctica pedagógica como futuras maestras.Esta pesquisa contribuirá para discutir a importância da formação inicial ofertada na modalidade do Curso Normal, que tem por finalidade a formação de professores que atuarão nos anos iniciais. Nesse movimento, oportunizamos a escrita narrativa a fim de favorecer reflexões advindas das vivências no contexto escolar durante as intervenções de estágio nos anos iniciais. Nesse sentido, a escrita das narrativas resgata indicativos do ser professor, dos modos de ensinar e aprender matemática, as percepções sobre as relações entre os procedimentos metodológicos de ensino da matemática e a dicotomia entre a teoria e a prática no desenvolvimento de práticas pedagógicas no período de estágio. Assim, o objetivo desta investigação consiste em analisar as narrativas das normalistas em formação, abarcando as experiências no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de matemática nos anos iniciais numa perspectiva histórico-cultural. A pesquisa apresenta-se como sendo de abordagem qualitativa com características da pesquisa narrativa.
