Resumo: This study aims to describe teaching and learning in geriatric-gerontological care in the promotion of health education for the elderly. Qualitative, exploratory-descriptive research delineated with semi-structured interview, systematic observation and content analysis. The interactions and associations of health education are processes of teaching and learning that allow the visibility of the educational dimension in the multidimensional perspective of the health of the elderly.

Investigación cualitativa exploratoria descriptiva diseñada con entrevistas semiestructuradas, observación sistemática y análisis de contenido. Las interacciones y asociaciones de la educación para la salud son procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que permiten la visibilidad de la dimensión educativa en la perspectiva multidimensional de la salud de los ancianos.Objetiva-se descrever o ensino e a aprendizagem no atendimento geriátrico-gerontológico na promoção da educação em saúde à pessoa idosa. Pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória-descritiva delineada com entrevista semiestruturada, observação sistemática e análise do conteúdo.
