Resumo: In Contos do Gin-Tonic and Novos Contos do Gin (1973), the narrative tension shapes the structure and the reading act of the short short story, which are in fact mutually dependent. It is precisely in the short story’s cohesive miniature that Mário-Henrique Leiria finds the most powerful and sarcastic means of subverting power.
