Resumo: The main authors in the field of Human Resources Management (HRM), such as Guest (1987) and Legge (2006), agreed that people have taken significant and strategic role in organizations. Therefore, the HRM field should not have traditional role of support, but rather provide organizational essential skills since human resource are responsible for the production of knowledge, providing a relevant source of competitive advantage for organizations. In this context, people must be valued, developed and their well-being at work takes on special meaning from the managers. Therefore, the purpose of this research thus is to present an overview of Brazilian scientific studies on well-being at work, published in well-known journals of Management and Psychology areas during the period of 2001-2010. The results revealed that there are few studies on the subject and helped us to outline a research agenda, which includes questions about the concept of well-being at work, types of organizations investigated and variables level of analysis. Limitations, academic implications and directions for future researches are discussed.
