Resumo: The altarpiece painted by Diogo Teixeira to the Arouca Monestery is composed by the panels Ascension of Christ; Incredulity of St. Thomas; Pentecost; Eternal Father; San Sebastian, Santa Lucia and Santa Barbara; Santa Scholastica, Santa Euphemia and San Maurus. The analysis of the panels support follows the investigation of the techniques and materials present in the work of this painter and was developed with direct observation (with different kinds of illumination), photography with visible radiation, radiography and portable optical microscope. This study supports the identification of the technical execution of the wooden panels and also the restorations that were made throughout its history.

El análisis del soporte de estas pinturas constituye una parte de la investigación sobre las técnicas y los materiales presentes en la obra de este pintor y se ha llevado a cabo mediante la observación a simple vista (usando diferentes condiciones de iluminación), fotografía de radiación visible y radiografía. Se utilizó puntualmente un microscopio óptico portátil. Este estudio ayudó a identificar la técnica de ejecución de los paneles así como las intervenciones de conservación y restauración que se habían realizado a lo largo de su historia.O conjunto retabular pintado por Diogo Teixeira para o Mosteiro de Arouca é composto pelos painéis Ascensão de Cristo; Incredulidade de São Tomé; Pentecostes; Padre Eterno; São Sebastião, Santa Luzia e Santa Bárbara; Santa Escolástica, Santa Eufémia e São Mauro. A análise do suporte destas pinturas surge no seguimento da investigação acerca das técnicas e materiais presentes na obra do pintor e desenvolveu‑se através da observação à vista desarmada (usando diferentes condições de iluminação), da fotografia de radiação visível e da radiografia. Pontualmente foi utilizado o microscópio ótico portátil.
