Resumo: This article aims to analyze the metaverse tools and their impact in educational contexts. It is framed in its thematic aspect in the line of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), oriented towards the area of education. A qualitative paradigm methodology was chosen, with a deductive method, under a documentary, bibliographic, descriptive research modality, through the systematization and analysis of bibliographic sources, scientific articles, statistical reports and research works, which were the support Of the investigation. The analysis of the results was carried out through content analysis according to categories of research interest. A greater number of investigations was evidenced during the periods 2013-2016 and 2017-2019 compared to the last period 2020-2022, the most used tools being” Second Life” and” Open Sim”. The impact that these have had is established, highlighting within them, from the positive point of view, that: they allow the development of competences of knowing, doing, living together; stimulates multiple intelligences, self-confidence, playful learning, collaborative work, kinesthetic abilities. From the negative point of view: if they are used indiscriminately, they can affect physical abilities; cognitive exhaustion; technological dependency, and they can also be exclusive as they require a greater degree of knowledge and availability of technological equipment.

Se enmarca en su aspecto temático en la línea de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC), orientado hacia el área de la educación. Se optó por una metodología de paradigma cualitativo, con método deductivo, bajo una modalidad de investigación documental, bibliográfica, de carácter descriptivo, mediante la sistematización y análisis de fuentes bibliográficas, artículos científicos, informes estadísticos y trabajos de investigación, los cuales fueron el sustento de la investigación. El análisis de los resultados se llevó a cabo a través del análisis de contenido atendiendo a criterios de interés investigativo. Se evidenció un mayor número de investigaciones durante los períodos 2013-2016 y 2017-2019 en comparación al ´último período 2020-2022, siendo las herramientas más utilizadas “Second Life” y “Open Sim”. Se establece el impacto que estas han tenido, destacando dentro de ellas, desde el punto de vista positivo que: permiten el desarrollo de competencias del conocer, hacer, convivir; estimula las inteligencias múltiples, la autoconfianza, el aprendizaje lúdico, el trabajo colaborativo, habilidades quinestésicas. Desde el punto de vista negativo: si son utilizadas indiscriminadamente, estas pueden repercutir en la afectación de capacidades físicas; agotamiento cognitivo; dependencia tecnológica, y además pueden ser excluyentes al ameritar un mayor grado de conocimiento y disponibilidad de equipos tecnológicos.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as ferramentas do metaverso e seu impacto em contextos educacionais. Está enquadrado na sua vertente temática na linha das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC), orientada para a área da educação. Optou-se pela metodologia do paradigma qualitativo, com método dedutivo, sob a modalidade de pesquisa documental, bibliográfica, descritiva, por meio da sistematização e análise de fontes bibliográficas, artigos científicos, relatórios estatísticos e trabalhos de pesquisa, que serviram de suporte à investigação. A análise dos resultados foi realizada por meio da análise de conteúdo segundo critérios de interesse investigativo. Evidenciou-se um maior número de investigações durante os períodos 2013-2016 e 2017-2019 em relação ao último período 2020-2022, sendo as ferramentas mais utilizadas “Second Life” e “Open Sim”. O impacto que estes tiveram é estabelecido, destacando dentro deles, do ponto de vista positivo que: permitir o desenvolvimento de habilidades de conhecer, fazer, conviver; estimula inteligências múltiplas, autoconfiança, aprendizagem lúdica, trabalho colaborativo, habilidades cinestésicas.
