Resumo: Introduction: Pectus Excavatum is one of the main congenital anomalies, it is associated with distortions or deformities of the rib cage, it can be asymptomatic and often gives rise to various discomforts of cosmetic, psychosocial or physical origin. Objective: To analyze the malformation of the rib cage: Pectus Excavatum through a systematic review of the literature to determine the effectiveness of treatments and procedures. Methodology: A systematic review of the literature was carried out in academic search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Scielo and Elsevier, about the effectiveness of treatments and procedures, using a total of 19 original articles. Results: The Nuss procedure is the treatment used in pediatric patients with optimal results, with a short operation time and minimal blood loss, with low complications, after it the cardiorespiratory functions are evaluated, since they can develop changes in their cardiac function the same that can trigger with the death of the patient. Conclusions: Health personnel must be trained on surgical procedures, medications and care that lead to said intervention, focusing mainly on pain management, mobility supervision, implementation of a tolerable diet and new lifestyle changes. of the patient.

Objetivo: Analizar la malformación de la caja torácica: Pectus Excavatum mediante una revisión sistemática de la bibliografia para conocer la efectividad de los tratamientos y procedimientos. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura en buscadores académicos como Google Académico, PubMed, Scielo y Elsevier, acerca de la efectividad de los tratamientos y procedimientos, empleándose un total de 19 artículos originales. Resultados: El procedimiento Nuss, es el tratamiento empleado en pacientes pediátricos con resultados óptimos, con un tiempo de operación corta y pérdida de sangre mínima, con bajas complicaciones, posterior a la misma se evalúan las funciones cardiorrespiratorias, ya que pueden desarrollar cambios en su función cardíaca la misma que puede desencadenar con la muerte del paciente. Conclusiones: El personal de salud debe estar capacitado sobre los procedimientos quirúrgicos, medicamentos y cuidados que con lleven dicha intervención, enfocándose principalmente en el manejo del dolor, la supervisión de la movilidad, implementación de una dieta tolerable y nuevos cambios en el estilo de vida del paciente.Introdução: O Pectus Excavatum é uma das principais anomalias congênitas, está associado a distorções ou deformidades da caixa torácica, pode ser assintomático e muitas vezes dá origem a diversos desconfortos de origem cosmética, psicossocial ou física. Objetivo: Analisar a malformação da caixa torácica: Pectus Excavatum através de uma revisão sistemática da literatura para determinar a eficácia dos tratamentos e procedimentos. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura em buscadores acadêmicos como Google Scholar, PubMed, Scielo e Elsevier, sobre a eficácia dos tratamentos e procedimentos, utilizando um total de 19 artigos originais. Resultados: O procedimento de Nuss é o tratamento utilizado em pacientes pediátricos com ótimos resultados, com tempo de operação curto e perda sanguínea mínima, com baixas complicações, após isso são avaliadas as funções cardiorrespiratórias, pois podem desenvolver alterações em sua função cardíaca as mesmas que pode desencadear com a morte do paciente.
